Anxiety, stress, relationship, and trauma counseling in Beaverton

Trauma counseling

Welcome to my practice! I am passionate about helping people create change to be their best selves. I specialize in trauma counseling, which includes all of the difficulties that come with trauma experiences. It has been very rewarding to support people struggling with stress, anxiety, trauma, depression and relationship difficulties.  By talking through these matters, we develop a better understanding of what makes them worse and what makes them better. We can then develop workable strategies for your goals.   We also learn what gets in the way of using these strategies.  We can then plan for this, improving your chances for success.

I think you will find that working together will be very helpful, even if our time together is short. People who come to counseling want relief sooner rather than later so we keep our focus on all of the small ways you can make things better. We separate what you control from what you don’t so that we can focus our energy on what can be changed without the torture of trying to change what can’t be changed.  I take a strengths-based approach to trauma counseling. This means that we look for the resilient behavior that has led to survival and seeking help after difficulties.  I am in awe of the resilience I see on a daily basis.  I look forward to continuing to witness and assist in developing the resilience of others.
